The main spring unwinds therefore transmitting energy. This type of movement is powered by an electronic oscillator which is controlled by the quartz crystal. Due to the electric current, the quartz inside vibrates with a specific frequency which is integrated to a circuit where power is accurately released through a motor setting which sets the hands of the watch to motion.
